Portopetro Majorca

The harbour at Porto Petro

Porto Petro is a small village and harbour within the municipality of Santanyi, just along the coast from Cala d'Or. The population of Portopetro is around 500, increasing in the summer months as the holiday let properties fill with tourists who come to enjoy this authentic Mallorcan village.

The harbourside restaurants at Porto Petro The Porto Petro Marina

Because Porto Petro is a mainly occupied by locals the village doesn't have that resort feel to it and local restaurants are highly recommended. Unlike other nearby resorts, Porto Petro is unaffected by seasonal tourism trends and you'll find the bars and restaurants will be open all year round.

Porto Petro Beach

The Porto Petro Beach

As well as the harbour, Porto Petro also offers it's own secluded beach - although you'll be unlikely to spot it as it takes some finding. The beach itself isn't very wide but doesn't need to be as only the local and resident from the nearby Porto Petro Beach Resort will ever find it! It's worth hunting down though as it's a beautiful place to take a dip.
