Your Local Area of Majorca
Majorca can cater for all types of holiday - whether it be late night partying at Magaluf and Palma Nova or a more relaxing beach break at Cala D'Or or Alcudia. Whatever you're looking you might want to consider the local area surrounding your apartment before making your selection. Things to consider are how far are you from local bars, restaurants, taxi ranks, beaches, bus routes etc...
Beaches:
Here are two lovely coves with soft sand and shallow safe water. One of these - Cala D'es Pou has glass bottom boat trips at various times thoughout the day around the beautiful bays of Cala D'or. A short drive away is the beach of Cala Mondrago.
Headland:
Between the two closest beaches you will find a natural sea water swimming pool which the teenagers love, just a five minute stroll away.
Cala Egos Centre:
Within a four minute walk are shops of all varieties, restaurants, banks, taxi rank, all year round supermarket, car hire medical centre and excursion companies providing everything you will need to make your holiday special.
Marina:
The fantastic Marina of Cala D'Or with its large high powered luxury boats and smaller yachts is just great for stopping for a drink or snack and watching the world go by. There are many restaurants, caf's and shops along the promenade catering for all tastes and budgets and this is a ten/fifteen minute stroll from the apartment.

The Cala D'Or resort train stops at the shops and takes you to Cala D'Or centre and other locations for just a few euros. Enjoy the sights of the Marina along the way.
Cala D'Or:
Cala D'Or centre, with its upmarket boutiques, restaurants and fabulous pedestrian walkways is ideal for shopping, taking in lunch and people watching. The town has further beaches, namely Cala Gran and Cala D'Or which are large and cater for your every need for a full day out. The town is very easy to reach from the apartment, the little train is fun, a taxi ride would take about 4 minutes and costs approx 5 euros or you could easily stroll down to the Marina and wander through the lovely streets to get there, taking about twenty minutes.
Entertainment:
If you are looking for some evening amusement, in addition to bars there are local hotels who welcome non-residents including the Gold Standard Thomson Hotel in Cala Egos Centre.
