What is the price of beer in Cala Millor in Majorca?
You're right next door to Cala Bona and the price of a beer there earlier in the year was 1.5 euros - I imagine you'll be paying similar prices. replied Andy on the 30th Sep 2011 at 9:34

Hi we are visiting Majorca 2nd October for 4 nights, I'm Hoping its still warm and wonder if anybody can recommend a nice Hotel and/or resort that is not really just for families or loads of young party people type place.I would like to be right by a calm shollow, pretty beach with some pedalos and possibly boat trips, near to shops and bars in a not too expensive resort, I'm hoping to find a bargin if poss. I like the look of The Ponenet Playa at Cala d'Or but think I should go for a 4 star Hotel because after reading some reviews Im worried it will be too noisy and full of people shouting at their children. The Iberostar Albufera park at Playa de Muro looks lovely but it is a bit pricey, can anybody help me choose the best resort/Hotel. Thanks

I need to find transport with a toilet on it to take me from the airport to my hotel. I don't mind paying for a private bus or something, but it MUST have a toilet on it. Any idea's who could help me find a company that can help.
Hi, we contacted majorca-airport-transfers and they said none of their coaches have toilet facilities and that they didn't think there was a coach on the island that did. Sorry, but I think you may be out of luck here. replied majorca holidays on the 22nd Aug 2011 at 10:39

Hi,i have just booked a holiday in santa ponsa from the 6th-13th of october!! Does anyone know if there will be anything to do around this time or will all the fun places like the water parks and amusements be finished for the summer?
Most resorts stay active until after half term school break, Santa Ponsa stays open a few weeks longer. All the parks will be still be open. Not far to travel into Palma which will be business as usual. replied Andy on the 11th Aug 2011 at 10:25

I am staying at the levante hotel in cala bona. Are then any good runs to do in the area. Are there paths along the seafront?
Yes, Cala Bona has a long prom right down to Cala Millor. Virtually all pedestrian walk-way, but includes a designated cycle path painted in purple. So beware bikes and the four wheeled family versions, plus roller bladers and the odd 5 year olds in electric cars. It’s worth continuing on past Cala Millor up into the headland, Punta de n’Amer, where there is a small fort and excellent restaurant with great sea views. The whole area is flat. Julie’s sandwich bar just down from Levante towards the harbour is well worth a visit for take-away. replied Andy on the 21st Jul 2011 at 10:44

I am wanting to go to the water parks for a weekend. Where should i stay such that i am close enough to them but also in a town that is not too isolated.
Stay at either S'Arenal or Magaluf - both close to the airport and each has a water park within walking distance. replied Andy on the 14th Jul 2011 at 10:33
Magaulf has 2 water parks, both walking distance or cheap taxi ride, for quieter stay in Palma Nova and just jump a taxi, both water parks are great for all ages. replied Emma on the 20th Jul 2011 at 12:24

I'm going to a wedding in Cap Rocat, Cala Blava in October. The wedding ceremony is in a Monastery in the mountains and we are going on a bus for a party of 75 people. What is the mountain road like up to the Monastery - is it a sheer drop mountain road. I have a fear of mountain roads.
Cap Rocat, Cala Brava is not far from Palma and the airport. Nearly all of the Monastries on Mallorca are up mountains and everyone we've been to has been on difficult narrow roads with Z bends all the way. The nearest Monastry might be Randa, with the three Monastries on the way to the top. This is not a good road, but far better than some of the other roads to Monastries in the North Mountains. The views are spectacular and worth closing your eyes on the way. If we knew the actual Monastery we could give an a more accurate assessment. Hope this helps replied Mallorca correspondent on the 23rd Jun 2011 at 9:07

Do you know if Ca'n Picafort is expensive? I'm going there in July but money is a little tight right now. Are the pubs expensive/is there a lot to do beside going to the beach? Your help would be appreciated.
No - there are places to suit all budgets. You're right on the edge of the national park so that's cheap day out. Alcudia old town is worth a look and a nice stroll along the prom. Alcudia has a nice water park too. Ca'n Picafort has a street market that is held every Tuesday afternoons and Friday mornings. Go karting nearby too. replied Andy on the 15th Mar 2011 at 15:23

does the drive from Palma to Pueto Pollenca take you on any mountain roads? I have a bit of a phobia of driving on high roads
Not if you take the motorway (MA-13) towards Alcudia. The scary mountains roads are on the northwest of the island - as nearly the entire north west of the island is a mountain range(the Sierra de Tramuntana) replied Andy on the 7th Jan 2011 at 11:37

is there any scottish or irish bars in cala bona
Never come across an Irish or Scottish Bar. The favourite English restaurant is The London Inn, just back from the harbour. Sunday Roasts are famous, as are the steak nights on Wednesdays. Also Smithy's in Cala Bona Harbour has a great reputation and a large menu. replied Majorca Holidays on the 14th Sep 2010 at 10:24

how much is a pint of beer 2010
On Majorca the price of beer varies a great deal, resort to resort. In Cala Bona for instance, many bars will sell a pint for 1.40 to 1.50 all day long. The same is evident in Magaluf. However, in Cala d'Or and many other popular resorts its impossible to find a pint under 2.75 replied Majorca Holidays on the 14th Sep 2010 at 10:23

Have just booked to go to Cala D'or in August with my kids, 12 & 9. Can you give me names of some secluded coves/beaches that we could drive too?
you could drive to Mondrago Beach. It's on the Mondragó Natural Park and has a car park. The main beach is quite popular but as you approach the beach. on the left is the woodland of the park - keep heading left along a woodland path - 2-3 mins walk and you'll come out on a nice secluded cove - less busy than the main beach by far. replied Andy on the 18th May 2009 at 12:21
